Farm Life
We have exciting news! Three weeks ago we put in a new asparagus patch and the asparagus is starting to emerge. There are 600 green and 300 purple asparagus plants in the patch. We will not be able to pick it this year but can pick it lightly next year. Asparagus is a long lived perennial that will yield for over 25 years if we take good care of it. Yum!!
Garden Gifts
The 9th gift that my garden gives me is truth. A plant cannot be hurried, coerced or tricked into creation. The garden runs on its own time table by nature's laws. If you are not true to your plants if you try to cheat them or trick them the will not create for you. Their rules, their time tables; we are just the caregivers.
